Thomas Cook expands presence in Punjab with franchise outlet in Ludhiana

Thomas Cook (India) Limited has inaugurated a Gold Circle Partner (franchise) outlet in Ludhiana, Punjab. This expansion augments Thomas Cook India’s distribution and reach in Punjab to 11 consumer access centres: 9 owned branches and 2 Gold Circle Partner (franchise) outlets across Punjab and Chandigarh tri-city. This new outlet will serve the commercial capital and the largest city of Punjab – Ludhiana and its surrounding towns of Khanna, Mandi Gobingarh, Rajpura, Phagwara, Sahnewal, Samrala and Moga.

In the new age of travel, customers are understandably seeking the guidance and reassurance of holiday experts and Thomas Cook India’s internal survey reiterates the same, with a significant 77% respondents stating that they require guidance of a holiday expert.

Thomas Cook’s Gold Circle Partner outlet in Ludhiana offers consumers end-to-end travel solutions with a bouquet of travel and travel related services, including: International & Domestic Holidays (Group Tours, Personalised holidays, Cruises, etc.); Value Added Services like Travel Insurance; Visa Services, etc.

With strong pent-up demand, easing of restrictions and the announcement on resumption of commercial aviation driving positive consumer sentiment, consumers from Ludhiana/Punjab are displaying a strong travel desire for domestic travel to Goa, Andamans, Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Kerala. Closer to home destinations like Maldives, Singapore, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are driving demand. Additionally, long/mid haul favourites include Switzerland, France, Canada, UK, Turkey, Egypt, Australia and USA for Visa holding customers. Key segments driving growth from Punjab include young professionals, families, couples, group of friends and seniors. Culture and heritage, adventure/outdoor, culinary experiences, and spa/wellness are top preferred holiday options for consumers from Punjab.
